    A. Polyethylene Terephthalate:

It has been widely used in the food and packaging industry for its ability to create a liquid and gas barrier. So that oxygen cannot enter to spoil the food. This compound is marked for its light weight, strength, toughness and clarity. PET material can be down cycled in to the polyester fibre that can be used in textiles, padding and insulation (for pillows, comforters, carpets and mouldings). They are also used for tyre reinforcements, conveyors belts, safety belts and coated fabrics and tarpaulins.


    B. High Density Polyethylene (HDPE):

    This type of plastic is widely used in making plastic bottles, plastic bags, opaque milk and water containers, bleach, detergent and shampoo bottles, garbage bags, dishes, yoghurt and margarine tubs, cereal box liners and medicine bottles.


    C. Polyvinyl chloride ( V or Vinyl or PVC):

    This is second most widely used plastic resin. Soft Polyvinyl chloride or PVC is used in making squeeze bottles, shampoo bottles, mouth-wash bottles, cooking oil, peanut butter jars, detergent and window cleaner bottles, loose-leaf binders, shower curtains, blood bags and medical tubing.


    D. Low density polyethylene (LDPE):

    This polyethylene polymer has the basic chemical structure of any plastic polymer. It is widely used for making low-value applications like grocery bags, light-weight bottles and beads. They are tough, durable, and flexible.
